49s Numbers Games Irish Lottery Specific Betting Rules The following table describes Rules as they apply to specific sports. The current version of the table can be viewed on the Capital Sports website as Rules may be amended from time to time without notice. Horse Racing Tattersalls' Rules or an official announcement by the Tattersalls' Committee will govern the settlement of bets should a situation arise that is not covered by these Rules. A copy of Tattersalls' Rules is available from Tattersalls' Committee. Price from to Deduction in the £ In the event of two or more horses being withdrawn before coming under starter's orders, the total deductions shall not exceed 75p in the £. Should a horse be withdrawn and a new market reformed then any bets laid at show prices prior to the new show are subject to the above deductions. In the event of a further withdrawal after the market has reformed, bets placed at show prices in the original market are subject to an additional deduction based on the price of the withdrawn horse in the original market. Bets placed in the new market are subject to a deduction based on the current price of the withdrawn horse. The above scale will also apply in the case of non-runners in early
price races and will be used for other events that are not Ante-Post
events. Place terms are governed by the number of runners taking part in the
re-run. Each way bets at show prices are governed by the SP place betting terms and determined by the number of actual starters and not by the declared runners when the price is laid. Should an incorrect price be displayed in an advertisement by a third party price supplier then a bet will be settled at the correct price at the time the bet was struck or the starting price, whichever is the greater. Early prices, where applicable, are offered on horse races and are available up until 30 minutes before the scheduled off time of the race. All early prices are subject to fluctuation and therefore the price
offered may differ from that originally displayed on the website or published
in the Sporting Press. All odds are subject to fluctuation and amendment and are based on the result at full-time. The terms 'full-time', '90 minutes play' and 'normal time' are all used to denote the period of play which includes time added by match officials for stoppages, but not scheduled extra time, penalty shoot-outs, etc. Any settlement is calculated at the price prevailing at the time the bet was placed and confirmed. Dates and kick-off times of matches shown on the Capital Sports website are for guidance purposes only. In the event of a match being played on a neutral ground, the team shown on the left is regarded as the home side and the team shown on the right as the away side. Bets are accepted up to the advertised kick-off time. If a bet is inadvertently accepted which includes a match after its actual kick-off time, the match is treated as a 'non-runner'. Capital Sports reserves the right to refuse the whole or part of any bet. Singles and upwards are only accepted on Premiership matches, Nationwide matches, recognised Cup matches and International matches that are televised live unless stated otherwise on the Capital Sports website. 'Correct score', 'first' and 'last goal scorer' and 'double result' selections are accepted in singles, doubles, trebles and accumulators. Extra time and penalty deciders do not count in any event. If a match has started but is abandoned before 90 minutes play has been completed, the match is deemed void. Only bets on the 'first goal scorer' stand as long as a goal has been scored at the time of abandonment. With 'first goal scorer' bets, extra time does not count and bets on players taking no part or coming on after the first goal is scored are void. Also, own goals do not count. With 'last goal scorer' bets extra time does not count and a player who plays in any part of the 90 minutes is deemed as a 'runner'. As with ‘first goal scorer’ bets, own goals do not count. In all ‘goal scorer’ markets, bets are void for players who take no part. Where a mid-week match date is postponed, the selection will only be valid provided the match is played within the same week, up to and including Saturday. Should a weekend match be postponed or re-arranged, bets will only be valid if played on the following day. In the event of a dispute on who scored a goal, settlement will be based
on the result given by the Press Association. In the event of a player taking no part or coming on after the first goal is scored, all bets are settled at the appropriate odds for the designated correct score. Own goals do not count when determining the first goal scorer. However, if the only goals in a game are own goals then bets are still settled at the appropriate odds for the designated correct score. For combination bets involving the last goal scorer, players that take
any part in a game are deemed as 'runners'. In a simple example where a 0.5 handicap is used to eliminate a draw as a possible result the match will appear as follows: Liverpool (-0.5) 1.95 v Newcastle United (+0.5) 1.85 The figure in brackets is the handicap and the next number represents the price offered. This means Liverpool has an imaginary half a goal deficit at the start of the match. Therefore, if you bet on Liverpool, you win if Liverpool wins and if you bet on Newcastle United, you win if Newcastle United wins; and if the two teams draw you also win. Where a 0 handicap is used, you win if your selected team wins; if they draw, the difference is 0 goals so your stake will be returned. Where a handicap of 1 is used, if you selected the (-1) handicapped team you win if that team wins by two or more goals (2-0, 3-1, etc.). If the team wins by one goal (1-0, 2-1, etc.) the stake is returned. If you select the opposition (+1) team, you win provided the team wins or draws the match. If the team loses by one goal the stake is returned. Where a handicap of 1.5 is used, if you select the (-1.5) handicapped team you win if they win by two or more goals. If you select the opposition (+1.5) team you win if the team wins or draws. You also win if the team loses the match by less than 2 goals. Continuing this theme, where a handicap of 2 is used, if you select the (-2) handicapped team you win if they win by three or more goals. If they win by two goals your stake is returned. If you select the opposition (+2) team then you win if the team wins or draws. You also win if they lose by one goal. If they lose by two goals your stake is returned. It is also possible for price to be presented for matches where there is a double handicap. In such a case, the bet is split into two, i.e.: Liverpool (-0.5, -1) v Newcastle United (+0.5, +1) In this case, half the stake is placed on Liverpool minus 0.5 goals and the other half on Liverpool minus 1 goal. Where a double handicap of (0, 0.5) is used, if you select the (0, -0.5) team you win if the team wins by 1 goal or more. If it draws, you lose 50% of the stake, and the other 50% is returned. If you select the opposition (0, +0.5) team you win if the team wins the match. If it draws half your stake is returned and half is multiplied by the price of the bet. Where a double handicap of (0.5, 1) is used, if you select the (-0.5, -1) handicapped team you win if the team wins the match by two or more goals. If it wins by one goal you win the stake multiplied by half of the net price of the bet. If you select the opposition (+0.5, +1) team, you win if the team wins or draws the match. If it loses by one goal, you lose 50% of the stake, and the other 50% is returned. Where a double handicap of (1, 1.5) is used, if you select the (-1, -1.5) handicapped team you win if the team wins the match by two goals or more. If it wins by one goal you lose 50% of the stake. If you select the opposition (+1, +1.5), you win if the team wins or draws the match. Also, if it loses the match by one goal, half your stake is returned and half is multiplied by the price of the bet. Where a double handicap of (1.5, 2) is used, if you select the (-1.5, -2) handicapped team, you win if the team wins the match by three or more goals. If your team wins by two goals, the stake is multiplied by half the net price of the bet. If you select the opposition (+1.5, +2) team, you win if the team wins or draws. You also win if the team loses by one goal. If it loses with a two goal difference you lose 50% of the stake, and the other 50% is returned. You will find, that we will not take a percentage deduction on any drawn
games, which some other bookmakers do. Play offs determine the tournament winner. Dead heat rules apply for relevant placings. In 'match betting' markets, the winner is the player achieving the highest placing at the end of the tournament. If one player misses the cut, the other is deemed the winner. Where both players miss the cut, the lowest score after the cut is made will determine the settlement. If one player is disqualified, either prior to the completion of two rounds or after both players have made the cut, the other is deemed the winner. If a player is disqualified during the third or fourth rounds when his opponent has already missed the cut, the disqualified player is still the winner. A price is generally offered for a tie and in the event of a tie, bets on either player to win or lose are lost. In 'group betting' markets, the winner is the player achieving the highest placing at the end of the tournament. Any player missing the cut is considered as a loser. If all players miss the cut, the lowest score after the cut has been made determines the settlement. Players are grouped together for betting purposes only. 'Non-runner' means no bet; deductions in line with Tattersalls' Rule 4(c) will apply where applicable. Dead heat rules apply except where the winner is determined by a play off. In '18-hole betting', when players are grouped together in '3 ball' or, for the last two rounds, '2 ball' groupings, the winner is the player with the lowest score over 18 holes. All players must complete 18 holes otherwise all bets on '2 ball or 3 ball' groupings are void. In the event of a '2 ball or 3 ball' being re-arranged, bets are settled on the original pairings/groups but in the event of a non-runner, the pairing or group is void. In '2 ball' betting, a price is offered for a tie. Dead heat rules apply to '3 ball' betting. In tournaments affected by adverse weather, bets are settled on the official result regardless of the number of rounds played. If there is no further play after a specific bet has been struck, the bet is void. A player is deemed to have played once they have teed off. In the event of a player withdrawing after having teed off, stakes are
lost on 'outright', 'group' and 'match' bets and '2 ball or 3 ball' bets
are void. Handicap bets are settled according to the handicap shown on the Capital Sports website regardless of whether it has been requested or not. Except for betting on the 'double result' or 'quarter with most points' markets, overtime counts. For bets on 'first touchdown scorer' markets, bets are settled on an “all in, play or not” basis. Unless played within the same 'American Football' week, bets on abandoned and/or postponed matches are void. 'First touchdown scorer' bets may be resolved at the time of the abandonment. ‘Totals’ bets include points scored in overtime. Where a match is either postponed or abandoned, bets are rendered void. Bets maybe rendered void where there is either a change of venue, time or a change of opponent from that advertised. We reserve the right to suspend any or all betting on a game at any
time without notice. Where a match is either postponed or abandoned, bets are rendered void. Bets maybe rendered void where there is either a change of venue, time or a change of opponent from that advertised. We reserve the right to suspend any or all betting on a game at any
time without notice. Extra inning(s) count for the settlement of all markets. Bets are void on all markets if the game is carried over into a second day of play. Where a match is either postponed or abandoned, bets are rendered void. Bets maybe rendered void where there is either a change of venue, time or a change of opponent from that advertised. We reserve the right to suspend any or all betting on a game at any
time without notice. The medal ceremony/podium presentation counts as the 'weighed-in' signal for settlement purposes in all cases. All bets are settled on a 'first past the post' basis where there is
no medal ceremony/podium presentation. In 'match' markets, the player who progresses to the next round is deemed
the winner in the event of an incomplete match. In such cases, set betting
is void. Where either a boxer is withdrawn or a substitution is entered, all bets are void. Prices may be re-issued on the new fight. The bell sounded at the beginning of the first round determines that the fight has officially started. Where a 'no contest' is declared, all bets are void. 'Draw' prices are always offered. Where a ‘draw’ occurs, all bets on either boxer to win are lost. Bets are settled on the point/round at which the fight was stopped, where a points decision is awarded before the end of the final round, or if either boxer is disqualified. Any bets instructed as 'to win on points' are only valid if the full number of rounds is completed. Where a boxer fails to answer the bell, the fight is accepted as ending in the round preceding the one at which this takes place. All 'round by round' bets are rendered void if number of rounds in a
specific event is changed regardless of reason. Bets on the 'outright' result are rendered void where there are no prices offered for a tie and the competition rules do not determine a winner. Single bets are accepted where matches are covered on television. All win bets on either side are rendered void in the event of a draw or tie. Where a match is either postponed or abandoned, bets are rendered void. Bets are rendered void where there is either a change of venue or a change of opponent from that advertised. In Test matches for 'outright' betting, providing that at least one ball has been bowled, bets stand on the official result for matches that are affected by adverse weather. Bets are made void where a match is abandoned owing to outside interference. In 'Series' markets where the designated number of matches are not completed all bets are void. The exception is where a sufficient number of Tests are played to determine the Series winner. 'Top Series Batsman/Bowler' markets are settled on an "all in, play or not” basis. In 'Top Batsman in Match' markets, bets stand irrespective of the number
of overs bowled. However, bets for players who are excluded from the
starting eleven are rendered void. Bets for players who are selected
but fail to bat are lost. The podium presentation determines the ‘weighed-in' result in
all cases. In 'match betting' markets where a match fails to complete, the player
progressing to the next round is deemed the winner. In such cases, any
'set’ bets are rendered void. The podium presentation determines the ‘weighed-in' result in all cases. The signal to start the warm-up lap is understood to be the start of a Formula One Grand Prix event. In 'match' markets (driver A versus driver B), where both drivers fail
to finish, the number of laps completed will determine settlement. Bets
are void in the event of both drivers completing the same number of laps. Single bets are accepted on all International matches. Unless a qualifying or handicap price is requested, in 'match' markets, all bets are settled on an outright win price. If a match has started but is abandoned before 80 minutes play has been completed, the match is deemed void. Only bets on the 'first try scorer' stand as long as a try has been scored at the time of abandonment. All other bets are void in the event of an abandoned or postponed match unless the match is then played within the same rugby week (Monday to Monday). Penalty tries do not count in 'first try scorer' bets. All bets for matches where there is a change of opponent are rendered void. All bets for matches where there is a change of venue to the opponents ground are rendered void. Where there is a change of venue, not to the opponents ground, all bets
will stand. In 'match' markets, where a match fails to be completed, players progressing
to the next round are deemed the winner for settlement purposes. In such
cases, all frame bets are rendered void. Where a match fails to be completed, all bets into the 'match' and 'set' markets are rendered void. 'Match bets' stand but 'set bets' are void where there is a change in the total number of sets played. If a bet is placed following the semi-final stage of any tournaments, it is deemed to be a 'match bet'. Where there is a change of venue, bets stand regardless of whether from
indoors to outdoors or vice versa.
